You might look at your life today and think: "It wasn't supposed to be like this."
Maybe the plans you made didn't work out. Or maybe you don't even know what to expect anymore. Doors have closed, people have left, hope seems dim.
But if there is one truth that needs to be remembered, it is this: when your story is in God's hands, the ending will always be surprising.
Not because everything is going to be easy. But because God never writes ordinary stories. He writes stories with purpose, with twists and turns, with endings that no one can imagine - not even you.

If you feel like you're stuck in a difficult chapter, stay with me in this text. Let's talk about faith, time, silence and what God is capable of doing when we entrust our entire lives into his hands.
God never leaves a story half-finished
Have you ever seen a writer abandon a book before the last chapter? No. Because those who create want to see their work complete.
That's how it is with God. If he started something in you, It will end.
"He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:6)
Even if it seems confusing today, even if you can't see a way out, God is still writing.
While you sleep, he works.
While you cry, He plans.
While you wait, He prepares.
What seems like the end is often just a pause
Sometimes you think you've reached the end. But actually, it's just a comma in the middle of the paragraph.
- That dismissal wasn't the end of his career.
- That disappointment wasn't the end of his ability to love.
- That mistake wasn't the end of his value.
- That closed door wasn't the end of the opportunities.
God knows how to turn periods into ellipses. And he knows how to restart a story that seemed over.
1# God writes differently from us
We want logic. We want to understand the "why" of everything. But God writes with a different pen. He uses the improbable. He surprises.
Look at the Bible: no story there follows a common script.
- Moses was called up at the age of 80
- Joseph was betrayed and imprisoned before he ruled
- Ruth lost everything before entering the genealogy of Jesus
- David was last in line, but he was chosen
- Jesus died - and only then rose again
The miracle comes after the impossibility. The glorious end comes after the valley. With God, the end is never predictable - it's always greater than we imagine.
2# When you deliver, God transforms
There comes a time when you get tired of trying to control everything. And that's when, sometimes through pain, we give in.
Give up your dreams, your fears, your "what ifs".
And when you do that, God begins to really act. Because now the story is with the right Author. The pen is in His hand.
And he never misses a line.
3# Your now doesn't define your later
What you're experiencing today doesn't define everything you're going to experience. It's just a chapter.
Remember Joseph? At rock bottom, he never imagined that one day he would stand before Pharaoh.
Remember Ana? For years, she cried for a son who wouldn't come. When it came, it was the prophet Samuel.
Remember Peter? He denied Jesus three times. And then he was one of the church's greatest leaders.
Your mistake, your waiting, your pain - none of this defines you. God has the last word on your life.
4# God's timing is different
You may think you're late. That you're late. That others have arrived earlier.
But God doesn't work in a hurry - it works with purpose.
Maybe he hasn't answered yet because he's aligning everything behind the scenes.
You don't see, but He sees. You don't understand, but He does. You think you're alone, but God is silent - not absent.
"There is a time for everything." (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
5# God's ending is better than his plans
Sometimes God says "no" to a dream that seemed perfect - and you don't understand.
But over time, you look back and realize: what seemed right would have hurt you.
God doesn't deny out of malice. He denies out of care.
And when he says "yes", it's at the right time, in the right way, with peace in his heart.
"For it is I who know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you." (Jeremiah 29:11)
What to do while the story is being written?
1# Stay
Even without understanding. Even if you don't feel it. Keep trusting.
2# Pray the way you can
God hears even silence.
3# Feed your faith with the Word
She will remind you every day that God has done it before - and he will do it again.
4# Don't compare yourself
The other person's time is not yours. The other person's story has a different plot.
5# Believe that the best is yet to come
Because it is. Even if you can't see it now.
God is still writing
Perhaps your story is in a difficult chapter. One of those that seems meaningless, dull and directionless.
But God hasn't forgotten the page. He is writing. He is with you.
And the ending?
Oh, the ending will surprise even you.
Because When history is in God's hands, the end is never failure. It is testimony.
