In the rush of the morning, it is often difficult to find a moment to give to God. However, entrusting your day to the Lord allows you to live it differently. Set your alarm clock a few minutes earlier so that you can pray in the silence of a still sleeping house. Daily prayer is important, especially in the morning. Practicing it every day can give new life to our soul.

Prayer of the day

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for giving me this day.

As the scriptures say, this is the day that the Lord created,

And I will rejoice and be glad in him,

I place this day in your hands, Father,

I will rejoice,

and I will be happy today,

Because your grace, your peace, and, the blessings of protection that you offer are with me, forever,

Father, I agree with your word, which says that goodness and mercy will be with me always.

I ask for Christ's blessing on my life today,

on my spirit, on my soul, and on my body,

I ask that the blood of Jesus be present in all my life,

I put everything that could possibly bother me back in his hands,

I place my fears, my anxieties and my worries in your hands,

Today is another day.

Message and teaching of the day

Find your reason. Reasons for praying are much more important than the words spoken. The reason is the why hidden behind the what. Having a pure heart that loves God and others is always pleasing to the Lord. But praying out of selfishness, revenge, manipulation, need for control, jealousy, pride, and desire to win the lottery are inappropriate.

In fact, any motivation that depends on selfishness is bad. A little boy is asked if he prays every night. After some thought, he replies, "No, some nights I don't need anything." Did you remember anyone? The first and foremost reason to pray is to develop an intimate relationship with God.

How long would a marriage last if we came home only when we needed clean clothes, a good meal, and a little hug? Not too long, right? The same goes for prayer. Jesus said, "If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you" (Jn 15.7) When we focus on abiding in Christ, we will get an answer to our requests.

If you ask and do not receive, it is because you ask badly, to spend everything for your passions. Man is deeply selfish. That is why one must regularly purify his heart and carefully examine his motives, his reasons. It may be painful at first, but it has to be done in order for our prayers to be answered.
